Veterans & Military

The Haas Veterans Club welcomes veterans, students pursuing careers in the defense industry, and anyone interested in learning about military service. The club focuses on four core goals:

• Supporting club members as they transition from the military to the civilian sector.

• Mentoring prospective military applicants to the Berkeley MBA program.

• Connecting club members to the professional military network.

• Serving the Haas, UC Berkeley, and Bay Area communities.

As part of the public University of California system, the Berkeley MBA is one of the few top MBA programs in which students can take the greatest advantage of Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits.

Depending on qualifying length of service, veterans can obtain funding for up to 100% of resident assessed tuition & fees, a monthly housing allowance, and an annual book stipend of up to $1,000.

Berkeley Haas is also a proud participant in the VA's Yellow Ribbon Program, which offers a matching fund option for U.S. military veterans who served at least 36 months, and qualify for 100% of the Post-9/11 GI Bill benefit. The program provides funding for any gap in tuition and fees not already covered by the VA or other fee-specific award.
