The Haas School of Business has an unequivocal commitment to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion as defined by the University of California Office of the President and UC Berkeley's Office of Equity & Inclusion. We believe that diversity includes supporting and respecting the personal experiences, values, and worldviews that arise from differences of culture and circumstance. These differences include race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, language, abilities/disabilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, political diversity, socioeconomic status, and geographic region, and more.
The Haas School is committed to recruiting the most diverse students, faculty and staff which enhances our mission, community, and academic excellence. We seek to provide an inclusive environment where everyone is treated fairly and has equal access to opportunities, a commitment that lies at the heart of Berkeley's mission as a public university.
Our student community is rich in diverse perspectives, cultures, and backgrounds. You will feel like you belong here, and will build meaningful lifelong relationships founded on common beliefs, goals, and experiences.
At Berkeley Haas, you will be among students who passionately champion causes they believe in, freely express their own perspectives—and show respect for views different from their own.
Staff, faculty, and students work together to ensure that Berkeley Haas is a welcoming environment for everyone.
Each year, the Berkeley MBA program welcomes over 200 prospective students to campus to experience how diversity is celebrated and inclusion is promoted at Haas. Activities include networking with alumni, sessions with affinity clubs, interactive workshops, and presentations from Admissions, Financial Aid, and Career Management staff.
The Diversity Symposium will be held on campus on Saturday, October 7, 2017 with an exciting networking event in San Francisco on Friday, October 6, 2017.
Berkeley Haas offers Diversity Scholarships of $50,000 to entering students who are dedicated to promoting diversity.
