Della Huff has been taking photos since high school and her images have been published worldwide in books, on postcards, and in advertising campaigns. Her internship with Apple's iPhoto division brings into focus her skill in photography and her belief that the Internet sector will drive innovation in digital media.
"My work at Warner Bros. and as a consultant convinced me that the next wave of innovation will happen in the Internet arena. My Berkeley MBA studies will allow me to build the skills to make a career transition in that direction. Rich Wong, the Career Center's dedicated resource for the digital media and entertainment sector, can open just about any door. He knows where the digital media strategy roles are inside companies and which alumni to put students in touch with."
"You'd be hard-pressed to find a student with a ‘typical-MBA' background here at Berkeley. People come from everywhere and from every sort of background. That makes for great discussions in class and at Bear's Lair – Berkeley's campus pub. There is a club for every interest at Haas, and if there isn't, students will start one. Because they are often industry- or interest-driven, they are a great connection to alumni and industry."
"We live and work in a global world, and Haas takes a true cross-cultural approach to admissions and academics. For example, there are people in my study groups from places as disparate as India and Ukraine. It's a great opportunity to learn about different working styles. I'm going to India on my IBD project. We're helping Nokia understand how to enter that emerging market for mobile services. It's an important project for Nokia, and it feels great to know we will really contribute to their strategy."
