UC Berkeley and Berkeley MBA students have a long tradition of social responsibility and a commitment to creating a better world. Almost the entire MBA class participates in Challenge for Charity events – talent shows, charity auctions, and sports competitions to raise money for the Special Olympics and other organizations.

Dozens of individual and team competitions challenge students to come up with solutions to real-world challenges. Competitions created by Berkeley MBA students include the Global Social Venture Competition and the Patagonia Case Competition. Students also gain experience through LAUNCH, the UC Berkeley Startup Competition.
