Tycho Moencks wanted three things in a business school: the people had to be smart and interesting, the curriculum had to be oriented toward critical thinking, and he had to feel comfortable in the environment. He found them all at Berkeley Haas.

"This is a terrific playground. The curriculum combines classroom academics and applying what we're learning in experiential settings and in the group work we do. You get to overlay your own creativity over the more traditional academics. That translates directly to the real world."

"The classes open your horizons and free your mind. I now know how to get into the mind of a customer or an investment banker or accountant. I understand their concerns and point of view."

"My consulting experience gave me an understanding of basic business concepts. I often knew the ‘what' but not the ‘why.' I came to Berkeley Haas to learn the why, and to figure out where my career might take me."

"While I was applying to business school, I met several Berkeley Haas alumni in Germany, just to chat. I hope I can be part of strengthening the Haas Alumni Network in Europe. What we learn in class has educational value. The network of relationships we form has life value."
