If you doubt that the Berkeley-Haas MBA program is student-driven, consider this statistic: There are 310 leadership positions available to students. Since there are only 240 in a typical class, that means "opportunity for everyone," according to Michael Dansbury, co-president of the Black Business Student Association.

"I believe it's important for African-Americans to be represented in the Berkeley MBA program. The Black Business Student Association is doing a lot of outreach to undergraduates, to alumni, and to the larger community. We're taking baby steps right now, but soon, we'll be sprinting."

"The entire Haas campus is a hotbed of happenings and offerings. Something is always going on, not to mention the spontaneous conversations that happen over lunch and in the hallways after class. The various speaker series are a great way to learn how different companies work and what roles departments play. The speakers — many of them Haas alumni — from firms such as Google and Facebook give us real-life input that rounds out what we learn in class. Plus, it's really great to see how Haas grads turn out for the school. "

"You would be hard pressed to find the caliber of Berkeley-Haas students and professors anywhere else. The Management of Technology class brings together engineering, law and business students. It's great to be able to take advantage of all those different perspectives and expertise in one class."

"I connected with Cisco through the Haas@Work program. During the semester, we worked with the company on a business plan. I'm fortunate to be able to continue that relationship over the summer, when I'll be able to see and participate in the execution of our recommendations. It's a great way to mix academics and the real world."
