Laura Kray is a rarity among business school scholars. She is a basic social scientist who seeks to learn about cause-and-effect relationships through controlled experiments, then applies her findings to real-world business settings. The power of doing basic research about human behavior, she says, is that it reveals "how counterintuitive the world can be. The data helps us go beyond the obvious."
